Why You Should Trust Our Review Of The NordicTrack 1750

Our mission is to bring you comprehensive reviews of home treadmills so you can determine which one is right for you. We thoroughly test all the treadmills we review so we get to know each treadmill really well. All of our reviewers spend time logging miles on the deck, listening to the sound of the motor/incline, and checking out all the features of the console, including the workout content.

We do this with every treadmill so when we get a new one in, we’re able to draw similarities and differences. We especially like to do this when we get a new treadmill model in. During this review of the NordicTrack 1750, we compared it to the previous model, as well as the NordicTrack 2450, Sole F80, ProForm Pro 9000, and ProForm Pro 2000. You’ll see our comparisons to these treadmills throughout this review.

NordicTrack Commercial 1750 Treadmill Review

In-depth Review of the NordicTrack Commercial 1750

iFit Overview

iFit is NordicTrack’s premier fitness app. iFit is constantly updated and offers indoor studio classes and outdoor workouts all over the world. Both class types are led by knowledgeable instructors who guide and motivate you through the workout. There are over 180 instructors and over 16,000 classes. You can take classes on-demand whenever you want.

NordicTrack 1750 iFit Class

While I love both class formats, I’m always in awe of iFit’s outdoor classes that are filmed on every continent.

You’ll see shots of the surrounding landscape occasionally, as well as the route map as you follow the instructor through the location. There are challenges and series to participate in, too. Often, series involve the same location or instructor and have the same theme throughout the bunch of classes.

You can even create your own routes with the Google Map feature. This lets you pick an area and draw the route you want. The screen will then comprise a collection of Google images of the location that change as you move further along the route.

In an iFit class and manual mode, all your workout metrics are shown at the top of the screen. You can change the music throughout the class because it isn’t integrated into the workout. There are different genres of preselected song lists to choose from. The music options aren’t my favorite, but it’s nice to have a wide variety to pick from.

What makes iFit really valuable to me is the variety of classes. You can take running classes on integrated treadmills like the NordicTrack 1750 and other treadmills in NordicTrack’s lineup, and then hop off and take a yoga class on a mat from the same screen. If you have other iFit-enabled equipment, you can take even more classes like cycling and rowing as well. iFit is a nice touch on the 14” touch screen and gives you, even more, versatility on the 1750.

OnBoard Workouts

While the monthly subscription to iFit gives you lots of workout options, you’ll still have workouts to pick from without it. There is a free version of iFit that includes a few trainer-led workouts as well as preprogrammed workouts. These onboard workouts display a white screen with a track to show your metrics and the treadmill will adjust to the preset levels as you go. Manual mode can be found in iFit as well as with the onboard workouts. This is great if you like to just jump on and adjust the treadmill yourself.

Manual mode doesn’t require a wifi connection, but iFit and the onboard workouts do.

Console

NordicTrack 1750 Entire Console

The NordicTrack 1750 has a 14” touch screen to stream your iFit workouts from.

I find the 14” touch screen to be easy to see and navigate. I can reach the screen well and I love that it is very adjustable. The screen tilts so users of most heights can see it, and it pivots to either side. This pivoting feature lets you take classes on and off the 1750. Some iFit classes use both the treadmill and mat, so you’ll be ready to transition quickly, in order to keep up with the instructor.

NordicTrack 1750 Console Pivoted

It is really easy to adjust the screen.

We’re big fans of the quick-touch buttons on both sides of the screen, too. The numbers are specific speed settings (right) and incline levels (left). I can simply press the 7 on the right and the treadmill will adjust to 7 mph. Plus, if I press say 5 and 3 right after the other, the belt will move at 5.3 mph. This is perfect for HIIT training and makes the console even more functional to use. Of course, you can also adjust the treadmill below the screen by using the speed and incline buttons, as well as on the touch screen. The speed increments can be adjusted by 0.1 increments, while the grade changes by 0.5%.

The 1750 can also adjust automatically when using iFit for a hands-free experience. This can be overridden anytime, but it’s one of my favorite features of iFit because of its convenience. When you’re taking an outdoor class, the deck will adjust to match the terrain and the speed will adjust based on the instructor’s cues. The AutoAdjust feature takes a lot of guesswork out of your training.

The front-facing speakers play iFit content clearly so that you won’t miss a cue from the instructor. You can adjust the volume on the console and on the screen. There’s also closed captioning for every iFit class.

The fan is actually pretty powerful and effective. It has multiple settings but isn’t adjustable to direct where the air is blowing. I’m 5’1” and it points at my face. The streamlined console is sleek but has minimal storage compared to the previous model, although we don’t really miss this. 2 cupholders can be used to hold your phone, personal items, and your water bottle. I’ve found them to keep my items secure, yet well within reach. The cupholders are no longer removable, but they’re deeper to better hold your water bottle.

NordicTrack 1750 Cup Holder in Use

I’m actually able to put my 40 oz Stanley Cup in either cupholder and it doesn’t shake or wobble while I run.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a place to set your device for streaming content while you’re using the 1750. With this design, you’re locked into using the screen’s content for entertainment which is your choice of the iFit membership or taking onboard workouts, or both. Streaming from Netflix, Youtube, or surfing the internet isn’t possible on this screen.

Construction

Over the years and through various upgrades, the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 continues to be one of our top-recommended models. It’s not only stable and solid, but it’s hearty and powerful to use. I love the streamlined design, too. It does have just a 300 lb weight capacity, so we don’t recommend it for users over this limit. Although this weight limit is standard for NordicTrack’s treadmills. The Sole F80 has a 350 lb weight capacity and is a better option for users over the 300 lb limit.

NordicTrack 1750 Sydney Running Flat

I’m a fan of this design and am happy to say that the 1750 continues to feel very stable to use, through upgrades.

Frame

The Commercial 1750 is built to be sturdy but still light enough to fold up. It weighs 293 lbs. The base of the running platform is constructed out of steel which stabilizes the deck without weighing it down. Composite construction makes the running platform durable and solid, and the deck descends via a hydraulic system to bring it gently down onto the floor. The hydraulic assist kicks in to help when folding the deck up, too. This way the deck feels lighter to lift and requires less physical effort to fold and unfold.

Folding it is simple and only requires one person (and maybe just one hand). Just grab the base of the deck and lift. There is no “release” lever to raise the deck. It latches securely in place when folded up and will stay locked until you press the foot release bar underneath. I love the folding feature on this treadmill! There are wheels for fairly easy moving, too.

NordicTrack 1750 Moving

You just need to tip back the folded deck to engage the wheels.

We don’t experience any shaking of the screen when running. I love how stable the console is. Because the NordicTrack 1750 is a little narrower than the previous model, the handles are closer together and the console is less wide, making it feel very sturdy. Plus, it’s easier to reach the handles and console with this upgraded design. It’s common for treadmills with attached touchscreens to shake while you run, but the 1750 doesn’t and I’m very pleased about this.

Motor

The 3.5 CHP motor is designed to support heavy training. So, if you’re looking to run a lot of miles per week or have multiple users in your household, the 1750 is a great option. The motor adjusts the incline, decline, and speed so your running experience is affected by the motor’s capacity. It feels just as consistent and capable as the motor on the previous model. All of our reviewers put it through miles of running, and it handled it with ease. It’s also quiet and adjusts quickly. We noticed that the motor hood has been lowered so you’re less likely to graze it with your foot while running, too.

A big change to this new model of the 1750 is the incline range. The previous model went up to 15%, but now it inclines to 12%. This incline difference is a little noticeable when you’re using the treadmill, but trust me, you’ll still get in an effective workout. Considering other models in its class incline up to 15%, like the Sole F80, we would like to see future models of the 1750 incline up to 15% once again.

NordicTrack 1750 Syndey Walking Fully Inclined

The 12% incline is still plenty of range to provide a good workout.

The -3% decline might not seem like a lot, but it helps with balance and is beneficial if you’re training for a race that has downhill portions.

Deck

At 60 inches long, the length of the running belt is long enough to accommodate most runners. Any longer and the machine would be top-heavy when folded. The belt size allows full stride lengths for running and sprinting for most people. The running surface is now 20” wide versus 22”. This difference isn’t very noticeable when you’re using the treadmill, but it’s noticeable when you look at the deck. I will say, most people probably won’t notice the size difference when running. Our reviewers didn’t notice. If you like a little more room to run though, we recommend checking out other models like the NordicTrack Incline Trainers, Bowflex Treadmills, and the Sole F80 and F85. All of these have 22” wide decks, which is usually the widest we see on home treadmills.

NordicTrack 1750 Entire Deck

This deck is a great size for most people.

The deck sits a little lower than the 2021 model at 9” versus about 10”. The 1750 is easy to get on and off and sufficient for most ceiling heights.

One of my favorite aspects about NordicTrack Treadmills is the cushioning. NordicTrack has some of the softest cushioning we’ve tested on treadmills. The NordicTrack 1750 is a midrange model, but it has excellent cushioning. Whenever I’m looking to run long distances, the 1750 and NordicTrack 2450 are at the top of my preferred list for models I’m choosing to run on. I typically get a little bit of aches and pains in my legs when I run on concrete, and I don’t when I run on the Commercial 1750. Next to other treadmills, the cushioning is softer than the Sole F80, as well as both the Pro 2000 and Pro 9000 from ProForm.

If you have joint issues, the cushioning is really helpful with lessening the impact on your joints that comes with running.

Functionality

The 1750 is popular and appealing for home use because it’s quiet, powerful, easy to use, foldable, and substantial without taking up a huge amount of space in your home. This new model has been streamlined to be even more compact than the previous model, so I think it will actually fit better in more homes.

The motor is still quiet, as I mentioned, so the 1750 should be appropriate to use in most spaces. It is a treadmill so it still sounds like a treadmill, however, it sounds quieter than others. One area that seems very improved upon is the incline and decline. When the deck is inclining and declining, it can barely be heard over the noise from the motor moving the belt at specific speeds.

When I took a 5k iFit race, I had to look down a few times when the deck was adjusting the grade with the AutoAdjust feature because it was so quiet! This is a nice improvement!

NordicTrack 1750 Sydney Running Declined

The decline is just enough of a range to give you a good amount of variety in your training.

When you’re running on the deck, the foot noise is also pretty low. The fact that the deck sits lower to the floor and it’s well-cushioned helps to absorb the noise from footfalls. It’s normal to hear some thudding when you run, but the 1750 has a lower amount of noise than others.

A small change to the new model is the belt. It is no longer tucked under the side rails to make it less susceptible to getting dirt and debris under it. While I liked this design for that reason, it did make lubricating the belt more difficult. Not having the sides of the belt tucked under the side rails on the new model makes it easier to adjust and lubricate.

NordicTrack 1750 Matthew Walking

Overall, the NordicTrack 1750 performed well for us and we’re pleased with most of the updates.

This treadmill continues to be one that we recommend for most users because it can handle moderate to heavy use. We think that users of most abilities will enjoy using the 1750 and its design makes it really straightforward. From distance runners to interval enthusiasts, and even power walkers, the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 is a great pick for most.

Warranty

The NordicTrack 1750 Treadmill comes with a 10-year warranty for the frame. This backs up the solid construction and design. NordicTrack also offers a pretty standard 2-year warranty for parts and a 1-year warranty for labor. We recommend having two people set up the 1750.

NordicTrack Commercial 1750 Treadmill Review

Bottom Line Review: NordicTrack Commercial 1750 Treadmill

The NordicTrack 1750 is our Best Treadmill for Home Use. It is one of the most popular treadmills on the market — and with good reason. This model features an adjustable 14” touch screen that can be used on and off the treadmill for more well-rounded training when you subscribe to iFit. The 1750 is easy to navigate and offers a lot of training variety. It’s also quiet to use and powerful for interval and distance training. The new model is streamlined and a little more compact to work better in more homes. Add to the mix the fact that you can fold up the treadmill when not in use and it’s pretty much the best option out there. For these reasons, the NordicTrack 1750 continues to be at the top of our list for top treadmills in 2023.
