Freemotion Fitness manufactures high-quality commercial and home fitness equipment. Freemotion is owned by the same parent company as NordicTrack and ProForm. iFit acquired Freemotion Fitness in 2000. iFit is the largest manufacturer of fitness equipment. Freemotion offers commercial and home fitness equipment that is functional, innovative, and robust.
What To Expect From Freemotion Fitness Treadmills
If you’re looking for a commercial treadmill for your home, you’ve come to the right place! Freemotion’s lineup of home treadmills is impressive and powerful. They are all powered by AC motors which are commonly found on treadmills that you’d find in your local gym. This means that their treadmills are capable of handling everything from long-distance training to high-speed sprinting and more.
Freemotion Fitness treadmills have high-weight capacities and large running surfaces that are perfect for all running strides. Whether you want a touch screen that streams content from iFit on your treadmill or a lower-tech design, you have options to choose from.
Freemotion i22.9 Incline Trainer
The Freemotion i22.9 Incline Trainer is a very impressive machine. If you’re looking to take your training to the next level, then this is the one for you. Not only does it have a massive 5.0 CHP AC motor, but the deck inclines up to 30% and declines to -3%. The i22.9 goes up to 15 mph, too!
The 400 lb weight limit and 21.5” x 60” deck are ideal for users of all sizes and fitness levels. The motor that inclines and declines the i22.9 is industrial grade to handle 1,500 lbs of force. The Freemotion i22.9 is a whopping 750 lbs, so it’s basically a tank that needs a designated space. Although if you need to, there are swiveling transportation wheels to move it.
This Freemotion Incline Trainer has a lovely 22” touch screen that displays iFit classes. iFit offers trainer-led classes filmed indoors and out. We love using iFit for well-rounded training and taking outdoor classes that are literally filmed on every continent on Earth. The added quick-touch buttons below the screen make for a highly functional treadmill as well.
iFit comes free for the first month and requires a monthly fee to use. If this isn’t your thing, then we recommend looking into the Freemotion i10.9b Incline Trainer. It has the same incline and decline functionality paired with a 12 mph max speed and 5.0 AC motor. The console has an LCD display that comes with onboard workouts that don’t require an additional fee. The i10.9b is a great alternative if you want to just hop on and do training of your own.

Freemotion t22.9 Reflex Treadmill
If you don’t need quite as high of an incline range, but still a powerful treadmill then check out the Freemotion t22.9 Reflex Treadmill. Just like the i22.9 Incline Trainer, the t22.9 Treadmill has a 22” touch screen that is enabled with iFit. This is my favorite size screen for streaming content.
The quick-touch buttons are at your fingertips for conveniently adjusting the t22.9. As far as adjustability, you have a 15 mph max speed and 15% incline to work with, which is plenty for most. The incredible 5.0 AC motor is ideal for all training levels and multiple users. Seriously, anything you want to throw at it, this beast can handle.
The deck is 21.5” wide and 60” long and includes Freemotion’s Reflex cushioning. Not only will all sized users have plenty of room, but the cushioning should definitely lessen the impact on the joints.
The deck does not fold, and the t22.9 Reflex Treadmill weighs 497 lbs so we recommend it to folks who have the space for it. There are front transportation wheels for moving, and adjustable leveling feet to plant the treadmill to the floor, even if your floor is slightly uneven. All in all, you can expect an incredibly solid, capable machine for your home with the Freemotion t22.9 Reflex Treadmill.

If a treadmill is too large or high-impact for you, a Freemotion elliptical, upright bike, recumbent bike, or indoor cycling bike might be a better option. We are especially impressed with the Freemotion CoachBike. This exercise bike has an incline of 20% and a decline of -10%.
