Assault Fitness is owned by Roger Bates and based in Carlsbad, California. It’s a division of the company LifeCore Fitness that was founded in 2004. LifeCore Fitness manufactures and designs fitness equipment. Diamondback Fitness is another brand of LifeCore Fitness, along with Assault Fitness.
What To Expect From Assault Fitness
Assault Fitness makes conditioning equipment for athletes. Their lineup consists of manual, curved-belt non-motorized treadmills that help promote proper running technique, durable air bikes that have been used in competition, and rugged air rowers that provide unlimited resistance to pull against. You can find Assault Fitness’s equipment in home gyms, garage gyms, as well as public commercial gyms. They’re suitable for all levels of training, especially if you want to take your fitness to the next level. You won’t have to worry about out-training any of the equipment because the air rower and air bikes use air as the resistance, so the tension will match your intensity, and the manual treadmills let you run as fast as you can. So, if you’re looking for equipment to “zone out” on, then we recommend looking into other brands. You’ll get such a great workout from these machines that you won’t be able to zone out.
Assault Fitness’s equipment is incredibly stable and sturdy, while also simple to use. They come with nice warranties, and commercial-grade builds that are hearty and durable. They also don’t require electricity. Whenever we test equipment from Assault Fitness, we know that we’re testing some of the best equipment on the market, and we also know that we’ll end up absolutely drenched in sweat afterward. If you’re looking to take your fitness to the next level, then check out the equipment below from Assault Fitness.
Assault Fitness AssaultRunner Elite
The AssaultRunner Elite is Assault Fitness’s premium treadmill. It’s a manual treadmill rated for commercial and home use just like the older discontinued Assault Fitness AirRunner treadmill was. Perfect for serious runners and athletes, it has a 400 lb weight capacity to handle users of all sizes.
We love how steady and stable the AssaultRunner Elite feels when we run on it. The curved belt supports a proper foot strike, and you’re likely to burn even more calories using the manual belt than on flat, electric treadmills.
The simple LCD display shows your workout metrics, offers onboard programs, is battery-powered, and Bluetooth enabled. You can also connect the console to your device to use it with the Fiit App for guided training. We find it easy to see and use, and it stays still even when we’re sprinting. If you’re looking for a high-end, manual treadmill check out the AssaultRunner Elite.

Assault Fitness AssaultRunner Pro Treadmill
The AssaultRunner Pro completes Assault Fitness’s lineup of treadmills. It’s intended for home and commercial use, and we recommend it if you’re looking to get the same experience and features as the Elite, at a cheaper price. The AssaultRunner Pro will get you in the zone without letting you zone out during your workouts.
It can be moved around and doesn’t require electricity just like the Elite. We don’t love that it doesn’t come with built-in cup holders for your water, but the slimmer wrap-around handles are convenient to grab onto when needed.
The AssaultRunner Pro is still backed up with a nice 150,0000 belt warranty from AssaultFitness so this treadmill is built to last and great for most people.

Assault Fitness AssaultBike Elite
The AssaultBike Elite is at the top of Assault’s air bikes. You’ll find it in homes and gyms because it can handle all kinds of use. The AssaultBike Elite works your upper and lower body and offers unlimited air resistance. You can also do targeted training, as well as high-intensity intervals. It has a 350 lb weight limit and heavy-duty steel frame, yet it’s easy to move around when needed.
The LCD display is the same as Assault’s treadmills. The console has nice visibility while pedaling, and built-in training, too. We appreciate the added features, like a device rack and windscreen. The windscreen is also removable so you can feel the air from the fan if you want to cool down.
The hearty design of the AssaultBike Elite is large but suited for a wide range of users. The seat is adjustable, so most users should be able to find a nice bike fit on this air bike. If you’re looking for a top-notch air bike to add cardio intervals into your training, then the AssaultBike Elite is an excellent choice.

Assault Fitness AssaultBike Pro X
A more affordable alternative to the Elite is the AssaultBike Pro X. It’s slightly smaller than the Elite but still offers a durable and smooth ride. We love that it has a lot of the same features found on the Elite, like the LCD console that’s Bluetooth-enabled and easy to use. The all-black design with red accents is sleek and great for users under the 330 lb weight limit.
What makes the AssaultBike Pro X stand out from other AssaultBikes is the belt drive system. Rather than a chain, a Poly-V belt connects the fan to the pedals. This makes for a smooth and quieter experience. The AssaultBike Pro X offers unlimited resistance with its 27” fan, so it’s perfect for high-intensity training. The handlebars are slim for easy gripping and allow you to work your upper body, effectively. The seat can be adjusted forward/back and up/down to accommodate various heights. The fan does generate sound, so it’s not best for spaces where noise is a concern, but it’s great for garage and home gyms where sound isn’t a problem. It can also be moved pretty easily with the front-mounted wheels.
The Pro X comes with a 7-year frame warranty to back up the solid steel construction. The air bike also includes adjustable leveling feet to keep it planted on the floor. If you’re interested in an affordable, capable air bike, then the AssaultBike Pro X is the one you should check out.

Assault Fitness AssaultRower Elite
The AssaultRower Elite is Assault Fitness’s only rower in their lineup of equipment. It was designed by professional athletes and trainers, which is apparent as soon as you sit on it. It’s a beefy piece of equipment that uses air resistance to provide unlimited tension to row against. It’s challenging, yet comfortable to use. We love the padded seat, level monorail, and wide, contoured handle. The handle also lets you vary your training with single-arm rowing.
Just like the other equipment, it has a battery-powered console so the AssaultRower doesn’t need to be plugged in or connected to wifi to use. The LCD display is backlit and keeps track of your metrics while you row. The front wheels allow it to be moved and it can be stored upright, to save space. Just be aware that you will need an appropriate ceiling height for this, as the rail is quite long.
On par with their manual treadmills and air bikes, the AssaultRower Elite is rated for personal and professional use. You can find it in public and private home gyms because it can handle everything you throw at it. It’s perfect for all kinds of use, especially heavy use and multi-user households.

Another great rowing option from Assault is the AssaultRower Pro. This rower is the more affordable alternative to the Elite with many of the same features. This rower is lighter in weight and more storable upright because of the adjustable console. It has a sleek all-black design, is stable, and is capable of handling a lot of use. It provides unlimited air resistance to row against and has a good console for metrics tracking.
