Dimensions/Storability

I was surprised by just how small the TM007 is. I’m only 5’4”, and I sometimes have trouble moving the larger treadmills around in the TRG studio. The TM007 gave me no problems. The wheels engage very quickly (almost a little too quickly), so I could roll it anywhere I needed to.

The treadmill only weighs 103 lbs.

When the treadmill is unfolded, it is 51.3” x 22.3” x 39.5” to 52” (depending on the height adjustment). Folded, it measures only 23.3” long. However, you can adjust the height of the treadmill’s uprights, so the actual height may vary.

The TM007 inclines, and at its highest, the deck is 8” high. I recommend keeping the treadmill in a room with a ceiling height that is at least one foot taller than you are. For example, if you are 6’ tall, use this treadmill in a space with 7’ ceilings. That will allow you to use the treadmill while inclined without worrying about hitting your head.

I measured the deck to be 6” tall when it is not inclined.

Onboard Workouts & Apps

There’s only one onboard workout for the TM007: the manual training mode. However, the Wellfit Fitness app is free, and it has many, many more training options and programs. I used the app a lot with this treadmill.

Wellfit’s classes have music, but you can also pause the radio and play your own music if you prefer. I like the different backgrounds that you can choose from. They remind me of the kaleidoscopic graphics shown on the multimedia player while listening to music on the computer when I was a kid. (Anyone else remember that?)

You don’t have to use the Wellfit Fitness app. You can also pair the treadmill to Peloton, Zwift, Kinomap, and many other apps.

Console

No touchscreens here! The Wellfit TM007 is a more affordable treadmill, so it has an LED console instead. You can view all the metrics you need right on this display. There are also shortcut buttons to change your speed and incline more quickly. Other buttons include those for starting, pausing, and stopping the treadmill. There are tactile speed and incline adjustment buttons on the treadmill handles, too.

You can view your time, distance, incline level, speed, calories, and heart rate.

The treadmill is Bluetooth. That’s what allows you to connect to the various compatible apps. Bluetooth also lets you connect the treadmill to your device so you can play music through the speakers. Bluetooth does not allow you to connect a heart rate monitor.

To check your heart rate, you can hold the pulse grips on the treadmill handles.

As for storage, you get four shallow storage compartments. They aren’t the best for storing water bottles, but you can use the sticky rubber pads that come with the treadmill to help keep small items, like your phone, in place.

The treadmill also comes with a water bottle holder you can attach to the side of the treadmill, but it sits very low to the ground.

Build Quality

While the Wellfit TM007 Treadmill is affordable, it also has a nice build quality. I found it easy to put together on my own, too, which is another big plus. Most of the treadmill is already assembled, and then you just have to fix a few things into place.

Frame

The Wellfit TM007 has a steel alloy frame. Given our experience testing treadmills and the size of this treadmill, I expect the TM007 to be best for walkers and runners under 265 lbs.

One of the most interesting features of the TM007 is the adjustable height uprights. At their lowest, the uprights make the treadmill only 39” tall. That leaves the bottom of the console about 27” off the deck. At its tallest, the console is 52” with the bottom of the console 40” from the deck.

I’m 5’4”, and I set the TM007 close to its highest setting, as the lowest setting is very short.

To adjust the upright’s height, you have to remove a bolt on either side. I wish the TM007 had a lock and pin system to make the adjustment easier, but I think most households will be able to set it to one height and leave it.

The footrails are textured but rather narrow, so if you have larger shoes, you might be better off just stepping down to the floor.

Motor

The TM007’s motor is rated as 4 HP. Wellfit suggests stopping the treadmill for at least 10 minutes after every two hours of use. Because the TM007 isn’t a commercial-grade treadmill, I recommend limiting your daily use to two to four hours at most.

I measured the motor’s noise while it ran at 3 miles per hour and at its top speed. It ranged from 53 dB to 65 dB. Then, when inclining with the belt set to 3 mph, the noise was no louder than when it wasn’t inclining.

The compact motor fits under this motor hood and plastic housing.

While I think this treadmill is best for walking, you can run on it. The speed range goes from 1 to 8.7 mph. The speed takes about 27 seconds to adjust from its slowest to its fastest speed. This adjustment feels smooth and stable.

As for the incline, there are 15 levels. The default incline range reaches 7.3% at its highest, but you can contact Wellfit for information on how to increase the incline. I reached out to adjust our treadmill’s incline.

To increase the incline, you can remove the wheels, which makes level zero 4.7% inclined and level fifteen 11.2% inclined.

Deck

The TM007’s running belt is 17.5” x 43” by my measurement. For comparison, a typical running treadmill has a 20 to 22” wide by 60” long deck. It’s great for walking, but not all runners will be able to run on this compact deck comfortably. I had to be mindful of my stride length to run on the TM007, and I preferred keeping the pace to 7 miles per hour or less.

I don’t mind going for short and slower runs on the TM007.

Two blue shock absorbers cushion either side of the deck. Compared to most treadmills, the TM007 is on the firmer side, but it’s still more cushioned than running outside on the pavement.

The deck is about ⅝” thick, which is a little thinner than what we see on running treadmills, but on par with other treadmills priced under $500.

Warranty

You get a 3-year frame warranty on the TM007. The motors and other parts are covered for 180 days. This warranty coverage is better than the 1-year frame warranty and 90 parts warranty offered by most cheap treadmills.

Should You Buy the Wellfit TM007 Treadmill

I like the Wellfit TM007 for small spaces and new exercisers. It’s affordable and incredibly compact. Yet, it uses a traditional treadmill folding design, so it feels familiar and stable. The treadmill height adjusts, allowing users of various heights to enjoy this treadmill, particularly if you are short.

It’s easy to roll the TM007 around. It is fairly lightweight, which could allow you to carry it to an upstairs room with the help of an extra set of hands. Yet, you still get a nice speed and incline range on this machine.
